What I find particularly disturbing is that Norma Rodríguez previously provided legal assistance to us concerning Casa Pericos and at the same time represented myself Gordon and Judy Forbes of Canada, 2 other business partners, one exiting. And a Supposed land owner in the in litigation directly adverse to us involving the same business and property arrangements. Anyone considering hiring an attorney should think very carefully about what that means. Representing 6 parties at once.

Casa Pericos is located within Mexico’s federal maritime-terrestrial zone (ZOFEMAT). I hold federal concession DGZF-098/2021 issued by SEMARNAT. Nevertheless, Casa Pericos was seized in February 2026 through judicial proceedings pursued by Rodríguez on behalf of the Forbes.

We maintain that the execution exceeded the judgment and interfered with federally protected concession rights, issues that are now being challenged through federal proceedings and formal complaints.

Even more disturbing is what preceded the lawsuit.

In September 2019, I was forcibly detained violating my Constitutional rights, during events connected with the Casa Pericos dispute. I was handcuffed, physically removed, transported to El Tuito and held under degrading conditions. I have preserved photographs, video, complaints and investigative documentation concerning what happened. Allegations concerning the involvement of individuals connected to this dispute have been provided to attorneys, authorities and investigative journalists.

I am not going to turn this review into a courtroom by declaring disputed allegations to be criminal convictions. The documentation can speak for itself.

And people no longer have to rely solely on my account. Investigative journalist Jorge Olmos of Vallarta Uno has publicly reported extensively on Norma Rodríguez, Casa Pericos, the judicial proceedings and allegations surrounding this case. Additionally Norma has repeated this pattern on other peoples properties, this is not an isolated incident.I strongly encourage anyone thinking about hiring her to SEARCH HER NAME, READ THE REPORTING, and conduct their own investigation before handing her confidential information, money or control over anything valuable.

After everything I have personally experienced, my opinion could not be stronger:

I WOULD NEVER HIRE NORMA RODRÍGUEZ.

I WOULD NEVER ENTRUST HER WITH MY PROPERTY OR BUSINESS.

I WOULD NEVER PROVIDE HER WITH CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT LEGAL ADVICE.

Do your homework. Read the reporting. Examine the court records. Verify everything independently.

What happened to us is precisely why choosing an attorney requires far more than reading an advertisement or looking at a law firm’s website. Far from being a champion of justice, Norma Alicia Rodríguez represents everything that is wrong with the legal profession: abuse of power, complicity in shady and criminal dealings, and an absolute disregard for the property rights and human rights of vulnerable individuals.

A professional who acts in such a manner deserves not trust, but rather a thorough investigation and exemplary punishment.
